Competitions
Shelley is working on date for fall show combined with WWU. Last proposed date (pending WWU approval) was first weekend of November.
October dates had conflicts between USDF Regionals, RRP, our CDCTA Jamie Lawrence Clinic, Windermere Event, and Tim Austin clinic.
So far, nothing appears to be a conflict with November 7/8
Education
Ideas for education committee to discuss & contact to schedule:
JUMPING:
1) Jeannine Lamb - from Chicago (Marian Michalson’s trainer) - no movement on this clinic since last meeting Holly stated Education Committee would meet separately to get some dates for Marian to propose to Jeannine
2) Julie Wolfert - Date SET! July 25/26 @ Amulette. Amulette will have two workers out during this time frame and will need volunteers to help this run.
DRESSAGE:
1) Dressage - Jamie Lawrence Slocum to be at Stacey Bates’ farm October 17th & 18th
2) Dressage #2 - Wick has reached out to Alison again within the last couple weeks, working to finalizing a date
3) Riding/Driving Clinic - no movement on this since last meeting, would anyone like to take lead on this with education committee? Yes and Lauren said she would reach out to Rhonda Boles
Other Business
Lauren & Karen are hosting dressage clinics with their respective coaches semi-regularly. These clinics have been added to calendar and list below. Auditing is welcome (and free) for these clinics.
Karen mentioned interest in having another CDCTA get together/pool party - proposing we do a social event/pool part in lieu of a monthly meeting for July or August - preferences on month?
Liz Hotchkiss Memorial Fund — once date with Wick is finalized, we would like to propose awarding a scholarship for a rider for a ride in this clinic.
